Both models 16eD and 20eD are the first attempts to implement a mechanism of automatic division. The basis of this achievement consists of models 16e and 20e. The first thing to do was to create a movement of the carriage powered by the motor. It was a necessary condition to perform automatic division in a comfortable manner. From that moment, the production of the models without motor stopped. But some technical solutions were not entirely satisfactory and the MADAS 16eD / 20ED became soon obsolete.
A new design was developed and gave birth to two new machines, models 16L and 20L.
For this reason, The MADAS 16eD and 20eD are rare because very few machines have been built.
